bloodtype o "hot"

Roughly 38% of the world

Sengoku's canon bloodtype is marked down as O, which is a very uncommon feature in an anime character -- or in Japan, even. This is just a personal view, but most of the Western world carries this bloodtype (whether it be positive or negative), so it's sort of interesting to see Sengoku breaking out of that "A-AB-B" mold that the Japanese usually set for their characters. Kamio, Fuji Yuuta, Saeki, Tachibana, Akazawa, Ishida Tetsu and Momoshiro are the very few who carry bloodtype O, while the rest of the Prince of Tennis cast seems to be everything else! Analysis from here.

Population: Roughly 38% of the world is O +ve and 6% O -ve.
Traits: Confident and Strong-Willed, Proud, Dedicated, Sociable, Energetic, Extroverted, Frank, Realist, Showy, Flighty, Generalist, Positive, Independent, Risk-Takers, Dislike taking orders, Insecure, Stubborn & Self-Centered. *All these traits apply to Sengoku.

Make friends easily and go with flow and grasp opportunity. Quick to start a project or chase an idea. Are good at organizing activities. May have short attention span, and expresses strong emotions. May quickly take opposite views that are deep but not always durable. Classic entrepreneurs and movers and shakers. Express their emotions but can be swayed by other blood types. Have an intrinsic elegance. Sociable and showy. May be good at adapting to circumstances. Words come easily to them. Not self conscious and will frankly reveal inner feelings. Ambitious, but may have issues with detail. Like to be touch and be touched by others.

Bold marked represents traits that are similar to Sengoku, italics represent things that align well with his persona -- and most of all, the entire analysis really dictate's Sengoku's personality; though he may share this with other characters as well.

Sagittarius, western zodiac

"An optimist, both gay and bright? It is the Sagittarius!!!"

So, Sengoku and I share this really funny hobby of looking up astrology facts. I admit it, it's fun when it concerns fictional characters, because some traits cannot be applied to real-life situations. And it's all just a myth anyway; though stating the zodiac sign for a character can be very helpful when you're trying to figure their personality, which is why I see this as important for Sengoku, a character with just BARELY enough character development. In Japan, they have a habit of shunning the "fire" signs; which is something that Sengoku is! That "Sagittarius" is not a common sign among the Eastern world. Sengoku's birthdate falls on NOVEMBER 25 (Sagittarius: Nov 22-Dec 21), just barely making the cutoff date for Scorpio. Excerpts from Findyourfate.com:
Sagittarians are positive people. They have a bright outlook on life, are enterprising, full of energy and vitality. Versatile, adventurous and eager to expand their range beyond the comfortable and familiar. They enjoy travel and exploring, and their minds are continually searching for new experiences. They are ambitious, optimistic folk, and nothing seems to get them down.

They are idealists, and this seems to keep them going even when thereare disappointments which smash their plans. They have a tendency to get over zealous when they are interested in something. They are believers, and what they believe in, they are willing to fight for. They are both loyal and independent at the same time. They manage to balance both traits.

Sagittarians are usually modest and often spiritual, with strong values. They like rituals. They are profound thinkers, and are gifted with foresight and good judgment. They are avid learners, love to initiate new projects and make great researchers.

They study quickly with keen minds. They have an expectant attitude and a penchant for new experiences, which may account for the fact that Sagittarians are noted for their longevity. They are often intuitive and original thinkers. Better at adapting than inventing, they work well in collaboration with others. A strong-will and good organization ability combined with their other talents usually bring any project they undertake to a successful conclusion.

POSITIVE TRAITS: Honest, open-minded, staight forward, ethical, charitable, generous, good sense of humor.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: Exaggerating, blunt, impatient, pushy, tactless, talks too much.

Let me start off by saying that THANK GOODNESS Konomi has some sense and didn't make THIS boy another Libra. Konomi has this weird tendency to stick everyone in October who doesn't actually belong there (Atobe, Oshitari, Tezuka) but i'm glad that Sengoku made the cut for Sagittarius. He would fail as a sexy, introverted Scorpio. For the most part, the Sagittarius is true to Sengoku's outgoing personality. What the site fails to mention is that the Sagittarius is often described as "happy-go-lucky", which is exactly what i've been saying for the last oh, 10 pages? The lucky numbers for Sagittarius are 7 and 5, so I think Konomi had some sense knocked into him when he chose this sign for Sengoku. Sengoku shares this sign alongside Hiyoshi Wakashi (wtf?), Kikumaru Eiji, Niou Masaharu, and Aoi Kentarou (another girl-crazy kid). I like to add that in my interpretation of the Sag, they're the fire sign of the zodiac that doesn't need a huge ego to feel satisfied, which sets it apart from it's counterparts Leo and Aries - and sometimes I like to think that the Sag could also fit in well with any of the air signs for that reason. Sagittarius is the third fire sign alongside Aries and Leo, Sagittarius' perfect matches in terms of compatibility (though i'd argue that Libra is also one of the best for Sagittarius).
